Our aftercare page is here to guide you through the essential steps to ensure your tattoo heals beautifully and remains vibrant for years to come. Let's dive in and discover how to keep your tattoo looking its absolute best!

// AFTERCARE PROCESS

BANDAGE REMOVAL, FIRST WASH & KEEP CLEAN

Your tattoo is a fresh wound and must be kept clean

Remove bandage and give your tattoo a good wash with non-fragrance antibacterial soap.

Brands such as Aveeno and dr.bronner's are good for sensitive and hypoallergenic types of skin.

Pat dry with disposable paper towel and allow the tattoo to dry completely—do not use your bath towel.

Clean the tattoo at least twice a day.

Do not bandage again.

Do not apply any aftercare products yet.

Do not take a bath, swim or soak in water—running water is fine

Avoid direct sunlight on a healing tattoo

ENTERING THE SCABBING STAGE

Your tattoo has started to enter the scabbing stage and will feel drier and tighter.

Begin to apply any balms, creams or lotions when your tattoo starts to get very itchy.

Natural products such as raw shea butter or products specific to tattoo aftercare are highly recommended.

Please use sparingly—apply a thin layer, no more than twice a day!

Continue to clean your tattoo twice a day or if it gets dirty.

Do not scratch, pick, peel or exfoliate your tattoo (this part will suck).

Do not take a bath, swim or soak in water—showering is okay

Avoid direct sunlight on a healing tattoo

SCABBING STAGE

Your tattoo is healing but should still be treated with care.

Continue to apply unscented balms, creams or unscented lotion.

Your scab will start to flake and can fall off at any time.

Do not scratch, pick, peel or exfoliate your tattoo.

Do not over wash.

Do not take a bath, swim or soak in water

Avoid direct sunlight on a healing tattoo

FINAL STAGE OF SCABBING & SETTLING INK

By now your scabs should have fallen off.

Continue to apply unscented balms, creams or unscented lotion.

Wash when necessary.

Try to avoid any sun exposure. Although faded tattoos are inevitable, exposing a new tattoo to the sun can greatly affect the healing process. It is recommended to apply natural forms of SPF and/or sunscreen.

Do not scratch, pick, peel or exfoliate remaining scab flakes.

Tattoo is still healing underneath even if all visible scabs are off.
